Extend-Tadalafil, Tadalafil is commonly used to treat male sexual function problems (impotence or erectile dysfunction-ED). Tadalafil belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. These medicines prevent an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type-5 from working too quickly. The penis is one of the areas where this enzyme works.

WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT BEST USED FOR

In combination with sexual stimulation, Tadalafil increases bloodflow to the penis to enable men to more easily get and withhold an erection. Tadalafil can also be used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate, assisting with symptoms such as difficulty in beginning the flow of urine, a weak stream and the need to urinate urgently and frequently by relaxing the smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder.

Tadalafil usually takes around 30-60 minutes to work when treating erectile dysfunction and should be taken before sexual intercourse. Tadalafil won’t cause an erection without arousal. Tadalafil’s effect on sexual ability can last up to 36 hours.

Tadalafil is also used by men and women to treat symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension to improve the ability to exercise. High blood pressure occurs in the main artery that carries blood from the right side of the heart (the ventricle) to the lungs. When smaller blood vessels in the lungs become resistant to blood flow, the right ventricle works harder to pump enough blood through to the lungs. Tadalafil works on the PDE5 enzyme in the lungs to relax the blood vessels, which increases the supply of blood to the lungs and reduces the workload of the heart.
